Cat6 Ethernet and Low-Voltage Setup Built for Whole-Home Coverage

Most homes weren't wired with today's connectivity needs in mind. Streaming in multiple rooms, video calls, smart home devices, security cameras - it all adds up fast. A standard router sitting on a shelf just doesn't cut it anymore. That's exactly the kind of problem this setup was designed to solve.

We ran Cat6 cabling to the bedrooms and tied everything back to a central Legrand On-Q panel. That panel is the brain of the whole system - it keeps every run organized and makes future changes or upgrades way easier to handle. We also ran conduit for the fiber main line, which protects that primary connection and keeps things clean behind the wall.

Inside the panel, we mounted Ubiquiti access points directly to the enclosure. Two access points means the signal is distributed properly across the home instead of relying on one unit to cover everything. No more dead spots in the back bedroom. The Ubiquiti gear talks to each other and manages the network automatically, so the homeowner doesn't have to think about it.

Camera system cabling was part of the job too. Getting that wiring in the same pass as the data runs saves a lot of headache down the road - it's all managed from one location rather than having loose cables going different directions. Planning it out this way from the start is what separates a clean install from a messy one.

The finished panel closes up flat against the wall and looks completely unassuming. Nobody would know there's a full structured wiring system behind that cover. That's kind of the point - it just works, quietly, every day.
