Hot tub wiring sounds simple until you realize what it actually involves. You've got trenching through gravel and desert soil, running underground conduit across the property, pulling a permit, and making sure the whole thing passes inspection. That's a lot of moving parts - and every single one has to be done right.
Here's what we were working with on this job in Surprise. The conduit run went the full length of the property - along the side yard, around the corner, and all the way back to where the Hot Springs Spa was sitting on the patio. Once the trench was backfilled and the gravel was restored, you genuinely couldn't tell we'd been there. That matters. Nobody wants their yard torn up permanently just to get their spa powered.
The spa disconnect panel we mounted on the exterior wall is labeled clearly - 20A GFCI for jets and lights, and a separate circuit for the spa heater. This Hot Springs unit has a salt system, which means the electrical setup has to be dialed in. Salt systems have specific requirements, and cutting corners on the wiring side creates real problems down the road. We wired this one to handle it correctly from day one.
The permit was pulled before we touched anything, and the inspection passed without issues. That's not just a checkbox - it protects the homeowner. If something ever goes wrong, or you go to sell the home, you want documentation showing the work was done properly by a licensed electrician. We handle that on every job, no exceptions.
This is exactly the kind of work we do every day - hot tub wiring and installation done cleanly, safely, and fully to code. If you've got a spa sitting in the backyard waiting on power, or you're adding one and need the electrical handled the right way, give us a call.
